Located at almost 170 feet high on the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, in the heart of Downtown Salt Lake City, lives the exquisite The Roof Restaurant.
If it was 1963 we could of been rubbing shoulders with President John F. Kennedy for my birthday dinner just kidding. But only because in the 1960s the Joseph Smith Building was the Hotel Utah and what now is the The Roof Restaurant was the Sky Room but many greats like President John F. Kennedy did visit the Hotel Utah.

As I mention before The Roof Restaurant sits high on the 10th floor giving each of their guest a breathtaking view of the Downtown Salt Lake City skyline.
The beautiful roof top views make for a very romantic atmosphere as seen in the timeless movie Charlie.
However, as a single girl I made my birthday evening a girls night out--my friends and I appreciated the views just as much as every cute couple that was present that night too. Oh and we loved the live music playing in the background!
Now on to the food! The Roof Restaurant features a gourmet dinner buffet menu full of delicious food and presented ever so lovely!
There fun specialty drinks are not a part of what you pay for but worth getting--they are so fun and tasty! We each had a different one and my favorite was the mango one!
I loved ALL the seafood options and sirloin options--all made to perfection. Lots of cold or hot sides to chose from. My favorite was the watermelon salad!
The desserts were countless and beautifully made! My favorite was the Lemon Meringue Bars and the Creme Brûlée! Wish I could of eaten everything since all the options looked so yummy!
Now you know some of the history, seen the views and the food so go and experience it all for your self!
Thanks for reading!
With Love from,
Kris
P.S. We made sure to take the latest reservations to watch the sunset and boy was it worth it!
